Panel Builder

We are currently looking for an experienced Panel Builder

Position Overview

Would you like to work for a successful engineering company in Holytown that specialises in the design, manufacture, installation and support of Electrical, Instrumentation and Automation Process control systems, providing bespoke solutions to a range of sectors?

We are searching for someone that has prior experience as a panel builder to join out team here at Kirkton Controls. You shall use your working knowledge of industrial electrical systems and panel building to work independently or as a team in our workshop to build panels for exciting processes, jobs and clients. A high standard of work is expected at Kirkton and we pride ourselves in each and every panel that leaves our workshop no matter how big or how small. You will be involved in the building process from the very start right to the very end where you will test and certify the panel all while working in a safe manner and keeping up with industry recognised standards and regulations.

All installations will be delivered on time and to the highest quality. The successful applicant will work to minimize any Health & Safety, Financial or Technical risks associated with the role.

Main purpose of the Role

  • Working alongside the workshop Foreman, collaborating closely with them continually to assist with the day-to-day delivery of projects, while working safely and in accordance with programme requirements, project specifications and Kirkton’s procedures
  • Maintain a good understanding of project requirements, following planning and personnel work packs, reacting to any changes that may occur
  • Ensure the panel provided is in accordance with the client specifications, current legislation and agreed scope of works.

Position Requirements

  • Experience building panels and working in a panel shop
  • Panel control system experience
  • Ability to read electrical drawings, panel drawings and wiring diagrams 
  • Extensive knowledge & understanding of Electrical systems
  • Good Literacy & IT skills
